Taking builds this month

Websites for Rochester businesses that need one that works.

I build fast, hand-coded sites for small businesses around Rochester. Fixed price, agreed before I start. A new site live in one to two weeks.

What I build

Two products, one number each.

You have nothing

People google your name and find a Facebook page, or nothing at all. A single page fixes that in a week.

You have a site you're stuck with

It's slow, it's dated, or whoever built it has vanished and nobody has the login. I rebuild it from scratch and hand you the keys.

You need more than a page

Several services, real photos, a contact form that actually delivers. Three to five pages, two weeks.

Why it's fast

Hand-coded, not a page builder.

1 week

From deposit to live for a one-page site. Two weeks for the larger one.

No plugins

Nothing to patch, and nothing that breaks when an update lands.

You own it

The domain stays in your name, at your registrar. I host the site. If you ever want to go elsewhere, you point the domain at them and take the files with you.

Both demo builds below score above 90 on Google's mobile speed audit, measured on a mid-range Android phone over a slow connection. That is the phone your customers are actually holding.

How it goes

Three steps, no surprises.

01

You tell me about the business

What you do, who calls you, and what isn't working now. Fifteen minutes, by phone or email, whichever suits you.

02

You get a price before anything starts

One number for a defined job, in writing, with what's included and what isn't. Half up front, half when it's live.

03

Two rounds of changes, then it goes live

I write the copy from what you told me, so you're never handed a blank page to fill in. We adjust it twice, it goes live, and the second half is due then.

Recent builds

What the work looks like.

Homepage of the Kestrel Lawn and Tree Co. demo site, showing a large photo of a mown lawn, the headline Lawn Care and Yard Maintenance in Rochester MN, and a red tap-to-call button.
Demo build · Lawn & tree

Kestrel Lawn & Tree Co.

Five pages for a seasonal trades business: services, gallery, service area, and a phone number big enough to hit with a thumb while standing in a driveway.

Homepage of the Ardwyn Coffee Co. demo site, showing a line drawing of an espresso portafilter pouring into a cup, the headline Downtown's coffee bar on the corner, and a hours and location strip.
Demo build · Coffee bar

Ardwyn Coffee Co.

A single page for a small cafe: hours and location visible without scrolling, the menu laid out to read at a glance, and directions written the way a regular would give them.

Both of these are demo builds rather than paying clients' sites. They are here to show how the work is put together, not to suggest a client list I haven't earned yet.

Pricing

The numbers, up front.

Nobody else in town publishes theirs. Here's mine, so you can decide before you spend a phone call finding out.

One page
$750

For a business whose customers just need to find you, call you, and see that you're real.

  • Everything on one page, built for a phone first
  • Tap-to-call number, large, above the fold
  • Services, photos, hours, service area
  • Copy written for you from our conversation
  • Your domain connected, hosting set up
  • Google Business Profile claimed and connected
  • Live in a week, two rounds of changes
Small business site
$1,500

For a business with more than one thing to say, or a site that needs replacing properly.

  • Everything in the one-page build
  • Three to five pages, per-service detail
  • Expanded photo gallery
  • Contact form that actually delivers mail
  • Service-area page if you cover a wide radius
  • Redirects mapped so you keep your Google rankings
  • Live in two weeks, two rounds of changes
Care Essentials
$75 / month

Keeps the site online and looked after.

  • Hosting and domain management
  • Backups and uptime monitoring
  • Google Business Profile upkeep and review replies
  • 30 minutes of changes a month
Care Growth
$150 / month

For a business that changes things often.

  • Everything in Essentials
  • 90 minutes of changes a month
  • Google Business Profile posts
  • A new content page each quarter
  • Listing monitoring across platforms

Anything smaller starts at $300, and I'll tell you if it isn't worth doing. Good photos matter more than most people expect. They are the main thing separating a real site from a template, so I'll tell you exactly what to shoot on your phone before we start.

What I don't do

Worth saying out loud.

  • No ranking or traffic guarantees. Anyone promising those is guessing with your money.
  • No ad management or social media posting.
  • No online stores or payment processing.
  • No booking systems.
  • No logo or brand design, though I can point you at someone.

Get in touch

Tell me what you're working with.

Call me, or write it down and email it if that's easier. Fifteen minutes, no charge and no pitch. If a site isn't what you need, I'll say so.
